Fresh baskets make great holiday gifts
Shoppers can buy pre-made or make their own

Ventura County Farmers' Market Association has gift certificates available which can be purchased in any denomination at any of the four markets.

Pre-made gift baskets are also available at the Ventura and Santa Clarita Markets on Dec. 23 (Ventura) and Dec. 24 (Santa Clarita).

Shoppers can view sample baskets two weeks prior to the pickup dates. Prices range from $25 to $60.

The baskets are filled with fresh assorted fruits and vegetables, gourmet foods, sauces, jams, jellies, sausages, cheeses and other garnishes from the Farmers' Market. Shoppers can also opt to put together their own holiday baskets and select contents from the markets.

In addition, the Farmers' Market will sell calendars of classic citrus labels from Ventura County. The calendars feature 14 different labels, each depicting a part of Ventura County's history.
