Sharing Assembly honor

RECOGNIZED-Camarillo Women's Club member Lois Glab, left, was presented an Assembly resolution for her "long and valued record of community leadership" by Assemblymember Audra Strickland last month. Glab shared the plaque with other members of her club during a luncheon hosted Monday at Sterling Hills Golf Club. Essayist Aubrey Kaye, below, an eighth-grader at Las Colinas Middle School in Camarillo, won first place in the women's club essay contest. The contest received 15 entries and honored the top two writers with certificates and checks for $100. Aubrey and the second place winner, fellow Las Colinas student Brandon Martinez Jr., read their essays aloud during the luncheon.
