Scioscia to speak in Ventura

World Series champion Mike Scioscia will provide the keynote address at the fourth annual CPA/ Law Society Scholarship Awards luncheon from noon to 1:45 p.m. today, Fri., Dec. 1 at The Pierpont Inn, 550 Sanjon Road in Ventura.

Scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to 14 students representing California State University at Channel Islands, Pepperdine University School of Law, Ventura College of Law and the UC Santa Barbara.

The event is open to the public. The cost is $40 for members of the CPA/Law Society, students and faculty. Nonmember cost is $50 per person.
