Cantor to sing at The Canyon

Kenny Ellis, cantor of Temple Beth Haverim in Agoura Hills, will perform songs from his CD "Hanukkah Swings!" with an 18-piece big band at 7 p.m. Sun., Dec. 3 at The Canyon club, 28912 Roadside Drive, Agoura Hills.

The concert, a collection of classics and original compositions, features Ellis on lead vocals performing twists on festive classics in English and Hebrew.

Harvey R. Cohen, the album's arranger and co-producer, will conduct the band.

Jazz vocalist Rip Crystal will also perform. Don Stark of "That 70's Show" will be master of ceremonies.
