Methodists stage Christmas concert

Camarillo United Methodist Church presents the annual Christmas Concert at 7 p.m. Sun., Dec. 10 at the church, 291 Anacapa Drive. There is no charge.

The concert is a multimedia event with visuals and sound. The 60-voice choir, directed by Lynn DeckerMahin, will be accompanied by a 10piece chamber orchestra, grand piano and three manual organ.

The orchestra is comprised of local, professional artists from the New West Symphony. The

organist, Gary Cobb, is professor of music at Pepperdine University.

The adult bell choir, comprised of five octaves of bells, will play several pieces before and during the concert.

After the concert, the youth group is sponsoring a reception of coffee and cookies.
