Strickland donates turkeys

Assemblywoman Audra Strickland distributed more than 300 turkeys to local charities as a part of the 2006 "Operation Gobble" effort.

Since 1990 local legislators and water companies have delivered thousands of turkeys to families in need in an effort known as "Operation Gobble." Strickland was at Camarillo

Health Care District, 3687 E. Las Posas Road in Camarillo on Wed., Nov. 22 to distribute more than 80 turkeys to families in the Camarillo area.

She was accompanied by representatives from California Water Service Company, Pleasant Valley Neighborhood for Learning and the Women, Infants and Children Program.
