Take aim at turkey shoot

Camarillo American Legion Post 741 will host its 40th annual turkey shoot from 10 a.m. to dusk Sat. and Sun., Nov. 18 and 19. No turkeys will be shot.

The shoot is open to the public and all ages are welcome.

There will be 22 rifle lines, open sights only, and a shotgun line with all popular gauges. Ammunition is furnished and walk-in ammunition will not be permitted. Rifles are provided, or attendees may bring their own.

Winners will take home 16pound turkeys. Hot food and cold refreshments will be available.

The shoot is at the site of the old state hospital dairy. Take Lewis Road, turn left at the CSUCI entrance and follow the signs.
