Gallegly reelected to Congress

Elton Gallegly
U.S. Rep. Elton Gallegly, a former Simi Valley mayor, won reelection Tuesday to his 24th Congressional District seat by a wide margin over Democratic challenger Jill Martinez of Oxnard.

Gallegly had accused his opponent of not living in the district; Martinez had countered that district boundary lines had been redrawn.

The U.S. Border Control recently honored Gallegly for his voting record on border and immigration issues.

The Border Control's mission is to end illegal immigration by

securing the nation's borders and reforming border and immigration policies.

The U.S. Border Control is a nonprofit, taxexempt organization established in 1988.

The Border Control educates the public on issues related to protecting the United States.

USBC Chairman Edward Nelson said Gallegly's voting record was 100 percent on bills and amendments important to the Border Control.
