Camarillo firm gets international order

Pride Business Development Holdings, Inc., a Camarillobased maker of body armor, announced last week that it has received a $1.5 million order of its Bodyguard brand armor to be used by the Mexico City correctional system.

Pride officials said oneeighth of the number of vests

ordered will be shipped immediately; the rest will be sent following approval by the Mexico City correctional system.

"We anticipate delivering the initial shipment of Bodyguard body armor vests in November and the balance prior to the end of 2006," said Ari L. Markow, the company's president.

"We plan on utilizing both our California and our Tennessee facilities to ensure timely delivery of this significant order."

Pride specializes in the manufacturing of body armor and accessories for law enforcement and military.
