     Voters elected Camarillo attorney Robert "Buddy" Kelley and incumbent Nancy Bush to the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District Board of Directors.

Park district outlines its goals
     The Board of Directors of the Pleasant Valley Recreation and Park District recently identified 35 short- and long-term goals for the district, placing the first 15 in order of importance. The board plans to begin these projects before June 30, 2007.

     Camarillo Rotary Club member Ronda Werner-Herrschaft will help select four students to work on the Rotary float for the 2007 Rose Parade in Pasadena. There are 45 students currently visiting Southern California through the Rotary International Youth Exchange Organization.

     Residents and county agencies had 45 days to review a preliminary environmental impact report on a unified Pleasant Valley School District. When the review period ended Oct. 30, the report met criticism that it failed to offer a substantial analysis.
