Shell station robbed at gunpoint An unknown black male suspect robbed the Shell gas station at gunpoint at about 2 a.m. Oct. 20. The station is at 1604 E. Ventura Blvd. in Camarillo. According to the store clerk, the suspect, who wore a bandana over his face to disguise his appearance, displayed a handgun and demanded cash. The robber left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in an unknown direction. Deputies searched the surrounding neighborhoods and cities, but did not locate the suspect. The crime is under investigation by detectives in the Sheriff's Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information about the crime is encouraged to contact the detectives at (805) 477-7000. Ventura County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest against the person(s) responsible for this crime.
