Alzheimer's dialogues offered

Family caregivers who have loved ones dealing with dementia are invited to attend a series of workshops led by caregiver educator and coach Sherril Bover, "The Alzheimer's Dialogues- Conversations on Caregiving."

The first workshop will take place 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sat., Nov. 11 at AlmaVia of Camarillo, 2500 Ponderosa, Dr., N. and will explore the elements of dementia.

Space is limited and preregistration is required by Nov. 1. The workshops will continue Dec. 9, and Jan. 13 and Feb. 10, 2007.

Topics will include communication, learning to move from honesty to mercy in the new language of Alzheimer's; behavior, exploring the embarrassing, the heartbreaking, and the downright dangerous; and self care, finding serenity in acceptance.
