Enrollment open for fall semester

Students interested in attending the fall 2007 semester of California State University at Channel Islands are encouraged to apply during the initial filing period, now through Nov. 30.

While CSUCI may continue to accept applications for all programs, except nursing, after the initial application period, students, especially freshmen, are encouraged to file early.

Undergraduate applications include first-time freshmen and upper division transfers with 60 transferable units.

Students interested in any of the CSUCI teaching credential programs must file within the initial application period and, once accepted, must also apply to the university's credential office. Priority deadline for teaching credential applicants is April 19, 2007.

Students interested in the CSUCI nursing program must apply to the university during the current initial filing period, indicating prenursing, and then separately to the nursing program. Admission to the university does not guarantee admission to this program.

For fall 2007, CSUCI is offering undergraduate degrees in art, biology, business, chemistry, communication, computer science, early childhood studies, economics, English, environmental science and resource management, history, liberal studies, mathematics, nursing, psychology, performing arts, political science, sociology and Spanish.

Administrative services, education specialist, multiple subject, single subject, and special education teaching credentials are also offered. New for next year are master's degrees in educational leadership and special education.

On campus housing is available to a limited number of admitted students on a first come, firsts served basis. For more information on enrollment, call CSUCI Enrollment Services at (805) 437-8500. For credential program information, call (805) 437-8953.
