Center brings technology into classroom

LEARNING CENTER-Young children learn skills that will help them succeed in life as part of the School Readiness Program at El Centrito de La Colonia, a literacy program funded in part by Destino: The Hispanic Legacy Fund at the Ventura County Community Foundation. This photograph, submitted by El Centrito de La Colonia Executive Director Luann Roach, was the winning entry in the recent Destino contest to identify photos that best exemplify the impact of grants Destino has made over its first 10 years. Destino has distributed more than $560,000 in grants to 36 organizations serving the county's Latino community.
