Jewish youth honor victims

More than 20 young members of Teen Con- nections, the youth group of Temple Ner Ami, participated in a clean up campaign at the Ventura County beaches on Sept. 10 to honor the victims of Sept. 11, 2001.

Group leaders Halli Milner and Eliot Wolfsohn hope to inspire their young followers to get connected to their community by doing good works. They want the youth to fulfill their spiritual responsibilities as Jews as they prepare for the upcoming Jewish New Year celebra- tions.

Teen Connections is comprised of youth in grades 8 to 12 who study the connections to self, to other Jewish teens, spiritual connections, and a connection to the community. While many ac- tivities will center around building friendships and having fun, some will help teens repair the world and build greater understanding between young people everywhere.
