Car chase ends in Camarillo

Police captured an Oxnard man who led them on a middle-of-thenight car chase that ended in a short foot pursuit in front of the Target store in Camarillo around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Ricardo Van Rossen, 24, driving a gold Honda Accord southbound on the 101 Freeway, was spotted by a Ventura County sheriff's deputy who was on patrol.

The deputy followed Van Rossen to the Las Posas Road offramp and learned the car had been reported stolen out of Lancaster.

Authorities said no one was injured during the pursuit.
