Guests enjoy Day for Kids

More than 3,300 children and their parents celebrated Boys & Girls Clubs Day for Kids at Santa Monica Pier on Sept. 16. Among those participating were 60 children and parents from the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo.

The guests enjoyed lunch, entertainment by DJ Adam from Radio Disney and Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), video games, arts and crafts, a magician and unlimited rides on the roller coasters.

The event emphasized the importance of meaningful time and relationships between caring adults and young people, as well as setting aside a special day to reinforce the club's commitment to youth. The day demonstrated to children just how important they are in the lives of their loved ones.
