High Holiday schedule announced

In anticipation of the upcoming Jewish New Year, Chabad Jewish Center of Camarillo announces its High Holiday services schedule. Services will be held in the room next door to Long's drug store in the Santa Rosa plaza, 5800 Santa Rosa Road.

According to Rabbi Aryeh Lang, Chabad executive director, services will be "warm, friendly and traditional."

A special children's program, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will accompany the adult services.

Chabad will host a community holiday dinner at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 22 by reservation only.

Rosh Hashana services will be 10 a.m. Sat. and Sun., Sept. 23 and 24. The shofar will sound at 12:30 p.m. Sunday only.

A Kol Nidrei service will be 6:30 p.m. Sun., Oct. 1. Yom Kippur service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Mon., Oct. 2 with Yizkor memorial service at 12:30 p.m.

The Mincha and Ne'ila (closing service) with final shofar blast, Havadalla and light refreshments will be 5 p.m. Oct. 2.
