A modern-day hero

HONEST CITIZEN-Jeffrey Ogne, an 18-year-old Somis resident, accepts an award from the Camarillo City Council presented to him by Mayor Mike Morgan during a city council meeting in late August. Ogne was recognized by the city for leading the police to David Mark, 42, after Mark drove away from a June 3 accident that killed a 19-month-old boy. According to police officials, Mark's blood alcohol level was two-and-a-half times above the 0.08 percent legal driving limit and deputies would probably not have apprehended the suspect so quickly without Ogne's assistance.
