University choir to hold auditions

The CSU Channel Islands Choir will host auditions for Handel's "Messiah" at 7 p.m. Mon., Aug. 28 and at 6 p.m. Mon., Sept. 11 at the Spiritual Living Center, 340 Mobil Ave., Camarillo.

Soloists will be chosen from the choir at a later date.

The CSUCI choir is a class offered through the university that is open to the public. The fee for enrollment in the class is $75.

Rehearsals are from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays, beginning Sept. 11 at the Spiritual Living Center. Additional rehearsal dates will be determined in the future. For more information and to

The choir is scheduled to perform with a chamber orchestra on Dec. 9 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Camarillo.
